Party and Weekend Itinerary
New Years Party Plans
Unlike past years where we've brought in the New Year at "Casa de Poblete" in San Diego and Las Vegas, this year we plan to change it up and stay and celebrate the "New Year" at the "Montelago Village Resort" in "Lake Las Vegas".
Those interested to join us this year are welcome and encourage to make accomodations at the resort. For the actual "New Years Eve Party" we plan to reserve the biggest room at the hotel where all are welcome to come celebrate the new year with us. The resort will also have a big fireworks display over the lake resort at midnight.
Itinerary and Activities
The following are the planned activities for this New Years Weekend 2010.
Thursday, December 31
- Those arriving early by car or airline are welcome to "Casa de Poblete - Las Vegas" for brunch/lunch or to relax from their travels.
- 2:30-3:003PM - Leave "Casa de Poblete" for "Lake Las Vegas" (15-20 minute drive) and check in at the "Montelago Village Resort".
- 3:30-7:00PM - Relax, nap, or stroll through the "Montelago Village Resort" and shop, eat, ice skate, or enjoy the scenic views of beautiful "Lake Las Vegas".
- 7:00-11:59PM - Join us in the Pobletes' suite (Room 201) for dinner, fun, and games.
- 12:00 Midnight - Fireworks display over "Lake Las Vegas".
Friday, January 1
- For those who want to join in, sightseeing to nearby "Hoover Dam", "Lake Mead" and the "Las Vegas Strip" are planned. Those who would rather relax are welcome to stay behind and enjoy the resort's amenities.
- Photo taking at the famous "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign.
- Buffet Dinner at one of the hotels on the Las Vegas Strip.
Saturday, January 2
- For those planning to leave Las Vegas to beat the rush back home on the freeways or airport, check out from the "Montelago Village Resort" at 12 noon.
- Proceed to "Casa de Poblete" for lunch/dinner before hitting the road or airport.
Sunday, January 3
- For those still in town, Worship Service at the Locale of Henderson.
- Check out from "Montelago Village Resort" at 12 noon if leaving Las Vegas on this day.
- 1:15PM - Watch the last "San Diego Chargers" game of the season at "Casa de Poblete".
